My Story
I wrote ADHD HACKS because I was tired of watching brilliant, creative minds struggle to stay afloat in a world not designed for neurodivergent brains.I particularly noticed this while I was working in education, teaching. In every class some bright students were just not reaching their full potential. At the time I also did a Masters to explore what was going on. These children were very distracted, found it hard to sit still and were unable to focus but they were creative and clever. They responded to teaching and learning - in a different way . They needed short bursts of teaching and learning, which was interactive and hands on. They needed praise because they often suffered from low self-esteem, and they needed understanding and tools for forgetfulness and time blindness. Some were diagnosed with ADHD/ADD but many were not. Pupils like them often got labelled as 'lazy' or the 'trouble-makers'. Sadly the response is often detentions, isolations, and exclusions. That's the last thing they need. Understanding and forming good relationships work better.
ADHD isn’t a flaw; it’s a different operating system. But without the right tools, that difference can feel like chaos. This book is my way of saying: you’re not broken, and you’re not alone. Every strategy, story, and insight inside is born from lived experience and refined through trial, error, and determination. I wrote this to share what actually works, to help others turn the overwhelm into momentum, the distraction into drive, and the noise into clarity.
